A marketplace built for the tours that actually make a trip.
Travel got flattened.
Somewhere between the rise of package holidays and the algorithmic tour aggregators, the person actually running the tour disappeared. You'd book a "Sunset Bali Experience," pay a company that resold it from a company that outsourced it, and show up to meet a stranger in a branded polo who was told your name that morning.
We think the best tours have never worked that way. The ones people remember for years are led by someone who lives where the tour happens — who chose to share the place because they love it, not because they were hired to.
Gollo is built for those tours.
What we're building
A marketplace where the person leading the tour is on the listing. Where their identity is verified before their first booking. Where the payment goes to them, not through six layers of middlemen. Where you know exactly who you're meeting, because the tour was designed by them for the specific place they call home.

What we believe
- A great tour starts with the person leading it. Not the itinerary, not the marketing, not the price. The person.
- Local is not a marketing tag. It's a verification requirement. Every host on Gollo lives (or spends serious time) in the destination they list.
- Transparency beats disclaimers. Fees, policies, verification status, and reviews are shown before you commit — not buried in a footer.
- Trust is earned per interaction. Verified badges, ratings, and moderation exist to make good behaviour visible and bad behaviour costly.

Where we are
Gollo is based in Australia. We work with hosts in cities across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas — and add new destinations wherever locals are excited to share what they know.

Who's building this
Gollo is built by a small team that's spent enough time on the traveller side of dodgy tour bookings to want a better version — and enough time on the host side of trying to run great tours to know what makes them possible.
We're growing carefully. We'd rather have five hundred verified hosts doing something they love than five thousand listings scraped from wholesalers.
