Partner program
Earn commission on Gollo bookings by sharing tours you love.
Share the places you love. Earn when travellers book.
Gollo's Partner program (we call it the Collaborator program inside the app) is for content creators, travel writers, and anyone with an audience that trusts what they recommend. Post reels featuring real tours, share your referral links, and you earn a commission on every completed booking that comes through you.
Who this is for
- Travel content creators — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or long-form
- Local guides who don't want to host themselves — you know the city; help travellers find the hosts who run tours there
- Bloggers, newsletter writers, community builders — anyone whose audience asks "where should I go and what should I do?"
You don't need a massive following. You need an audience that trusts you.
How you earn
The mechanics, in order:
- Apply and get approved. Fill in the Collaborator application — a short intro, your portfolio, and where your audience lives. We review within 24 hours.
- Link up with hosts. Once you're in, you can be linked to hosts (either you request, or hosts invite you). Each link opens access to that host's tours for referral.
- Get referral links per tour. Every tour you're linked to gets a unique referral URL. Share it anywhere — reel captions, bios, blog posts, DMs.
- A traveller books through your link. They click, browse, book. Your link stays attributed to the booking.
- The tour completes → you earn. Commission drops into your Collaborator dashboard on every completed booking. Payouts run automatically via Stripe Connect once the earning window clears.
Track every click and every earning in real time on your Collaborator dashboard.
What you can post
- Reels. Short vertical video is the highest-performing format on Gollo. Feature a tour you've actually experienced or one whose host you know. Reels appear in the Gollo reels feed and on the tours they reference.
- Referral links anywhere. No restriction on where you share — your channels, your choice. We only track links that come back with the referral token.
- Honest recommendations. We don't pay for scripted takes or fake endorsements. Long term, credibility with your audience is worth more than short-term earnings — and your reviews will get better over time if the tours you recommend actually match what your audience likes.
Getting paid
Same Stripe Connect setup as hosts — you connect a bank account through Stripe, and payouts land there according to Stripe's normal timeframe (usually a few business days) after the earning window clears.
Currency. Your earnings are paid in the currency you set up on your Stripe account. Stripe handles conversion at their rate.
Tax. You're responsible for reporting Gollo earnings to your local tax authority. Gollo doesn't withhold tax on your behalf. We're not licensed tax advisors — chat to a local accountant about what you owe and what you can deduct.
What we look for in an application
- A clear sense of your audience. Who are they, what do they trust you for, where do they live?
- A portfolio link. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blog, newsletter — whatever your primary channel is.
- Real engagement over follower count. A small audience that acts on your recommendations beats a huge one that scrolls past.
- Alignment with what Gollo is. Locally-led tours by verified hosts. If your content already leans that way, we're a natural fit.
Rejection isn't permanent. If we don't accept your first application, we'll tell you why — you can reapply once the gap is closed.
What we're not
Being clear about this matters:
- Not a mass affiliate program. We don't hand out generic links for anyone to spam. Every Collaborator is reviewed individually because your recommendation carries our platform's name.
- Cross-post freely. Your Gollo reels are yours — share them on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, wherever your audience lives. Commissions apply only to bookings made through your Gollo referral links.
- Not the same as becoming a host. If you want to run tours yourself, that's the Become a local guide path. You can't be both — one account is either a host or a Collaborator, not both at once.

If you're not sure whether Gollo's a fit for your audience, or you have questions about how the program works, contact us first — we'd rather help you decide than have you apply cold.
